The Nobel Prizes are the world’s most prestigious scientific awards. Several researchers at Stockholm University are members of the committees charged with selecting Nobel Laureates. During this event you will have the chance to listen to distinguished scientists discuss the process whereby Nobel Laureates are chosen.

  • Professor Lars Bergström, professor of theoretical physics specializing in astroparticle physics at Stockholm University
  • Professor Gunnar von Heijne, scientist working on signal peptides, membrane proteins and bioinformatics at the Stockholm Center for Biomembrane Research at Stockholm University
  • The conversation is moderated by Olof Somell who has a background in physics and history of science, and has been working with the history of the Nobel Prize at the Nobel Museum since 2006. He regularly lectures on the Nobel Prize both in Sweden and abroad.
